Hello and Goodbye

Rene De Greef was initiated as a 7th Generation Yang Tai Chi Disciple along with three more of Master Li's students. The initiation is very formal and based in ancient Chinese culture. A cup of tea is offered to the Sifu, and by accepting the tea, the Sifu accepts the student as a Disciple.
After the ceremony there were demonstrations of the short form, sword form and pushing hands. Gifts were exchanged between the Australian discilples and the chinese disciples and we had opportunity to chat via interpreters. Having met our new brothers and sisters we said our goodbyes and and begin our journey home.
