Personal Trainer, 3rd Dan Tang Soo Tao black belt and Tai Chi practicioner Stephen Ramsdale has a wealth of experience in the fitness industry that he uses to benefit his clients and readers. Based in Caloundra on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Stephen runs a training studio from the Brittania Garage on Caloundra's Bulcock Street.

Having returned from a very successful Tai Chi training excursion to Hangzhou China, all classes have resumed according o the current schedule.
There will soon be another break with Easter only one week away. There will be no classes from Good Friday 14th April to Easter Monday 17th April.
Following easter there will be a small change to the Tai Chi schedule with changes to the start time of the Wednesday and Saturday classes, aligning all the morning classes to 8:30 am.
Studying Tai Chi with Teacher Liu as Spring emerges from Winter in Hangzhou from march 23 until April 7.
All classes are suspended until Friday 7 April.

Contralateral - On the opposite side of the body. (Adjective);

Paradiddle - one of the basic patterns (rudiments) of drumming, consisting of four even strokes played in the order ‘left right left left’ or ‘right left right right’ (Noun)
This unique neuro-muscular training method has been developed from 4 decades of study in external and internal martial arts and the anatomy and physiology of exercise.
The method enables very fast, very powerful punching without any need for size or strength or fitness. Have effortless, bone breaking knockout power with both hands, every punch, every time moving forward, backward, sideways or standing still. Sounds impossible? It’s readily attainable. It’s not necessary to understand the theory, just apply the process.
Thes classes are part of the Tang So Tao syllabus but can be attended by anyone with an interest in punching bag training.
Training is presented in easy to learn stages using hanging bags and speedball for 4 x 10 minute sets per 1 hour session. Available 9:30am Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at 124 Bulcock St Caloundra commencing January 7. Prior booking essential.
Price is $15 per session casual or $110 per calendar month.
2017 classes have commenced with the same schedule as last year and additional sessions of Bagwork training on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30.
With the Christmas/New Year holiday period almost here it is time to spend time with family and friends.
Classes here will wind up for the year at midday on Saturday 17th December and recommence on Saturday 7th January.

Early finish to term 3 Karate Kids Classes with the last class today. The schedule of all classes is suspended for a week as I am travelling to Hangzhou China for more Tai Chi training with Teacher Liu.
All classes resume with the usual schedule on Thursday 22 September with Term 4 Karate Kids kicking off Tuesday 4 October as Monday the 3rd is a public holiday.
Our very own Alex Kennedy graduated from Caloundra Christian College this week. Congratulations from all of us and best wishes for success as you move into the next phase of life.
Saturdays Grading was very satisfying, with 4 Adults and 7 Karate Kids testing to advance to the next level. Special congratulations to Darcy Quirk and Nathan Spedding who double Graded after putting in great efforts throughout the term. Also a mention of Angus McAdam who achieved his blue Belt at 68 years of age. Well done to all who participated, and thanks to everyone who came along to share the event.
